Cream Tea in the Royal Saloon

With this ticket, you are welcome to travel on any of the timetabled services that day in standard class - however, from the departure listed on your ticket, you join us for two return trips aboard the Great Eastern Railway Saloon No.5, built in 1898 for Princess Alexandra. During your journey, if you are having a Cream Tea you will be served cream scones with jam and cream, cupcakes and hot drinks at your table. Afternoon Tea also includes sandwiches and an individual trifle.  For an extra special treat, for both options, you can also include a glass of prosecco on arrival.

Unfortunately, due its age and method of construction, we are sorry but the Royal Saloon is not accessible to wheelchair users. Due to space limitations in the Royal Saloon kitchen we regret we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements.

Tickets are non-refundable. No refunds will be made for cancellations or non-arrivals.

Your seats in the Royal Saloon will only be valid on the specified service on your ticket, and the next departure. Please ensure you arrive at Preston Riverside Station at least half an hour before your booked departure. Boarding of the Royal Saloon will start 15 minutes before departure. Don't forget, your ticket also allows you access to all other timetabled services at Ribble Steam Railway that day in standard class accommodation.
